EKSPLORASI PENGGUNAAN WAKTU UNTUK MENCAPAI KESEIMBANGAN HIDUP MAHASISWA OKUPASI TERAPI
Abstract
Latar belakang: Mahasiswa, terutama pada program studi yang menuntut seperti Okupasi Terapi, seringkali dihadapkan pada tekanan akademik yang intens, tuntutan sosial, dan kebutuhan personal yang kompleks. Fenomena ini menciptakan tantangan signifikan dalam mengelola waktu secara efektif dan mencapai keseimbangan hidup (work-life balance). Keseimbangan hidup, dalam konteks ini, tidak hanya merujuk pada pembagian waktu yang sama antara pekerjaan (akademik) dan kehidupan pribadi, melainkan lebih kepada persepsi subjektif individu tentang pemenuhan kebutuhan di berbagai domain kehidupan, termasuk akademik, sosial, rekreasi, dan personal (Greenhaus et al., 2003; Marks & MacDermid, 1996). Studi ini akan menginvestigasi secara mendalam penggunaan waktu (time use) mahamahasiswa Okupasi Terapi dan bagaimana pola penggunaan waktu tersebut memengaruhi persepsi mereka terhadap keseimbangan hidup.
Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memahami penggunaan waktu dan keseimbangan hidup mahasiswa okupasi terapi.
Metode: Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 6-8 orang mahasiswa yang memiliki kriteria berusia 18-24 tahun sedang menjalani study aktif / tidak sedang cuti perkuliahan di poltekkes surakarta, serta bersedia menjadi responden penelitian.
Hasil: Sebagian mahasiswa yang diwawancarai mengaku kesulitan dalam mengatur waktu untuk menciptakan keseimbangan hidup (life balance). Hambatan tersebut berasal dari berbagai faktor, baik internal maupun eksternal.
Kesimpulan: Mahasiswa harus mampu mengatur mahasiswa harus mampu mengatur waktu dengan baik dan memprioritaskan kegiatan yang penting agar dapat mencapai life balance yang sehat dan seimbang.
