PENGARUH PUTIH TELUR TERHADAP PENYEMBUHAN LUKA INSISI PADA AKSEPTOR KB IMPLANT DI KLINIK NAHDLATUL ULAMA
Abstract
Background; The Family Planning (KB) Program serves as a key strategy in managing population growth and promoting public well-being. One of the preferred long-term contraceptive options is the implant, known for its high efficacy and convenience, as it requires only a single placement lasting between 3 to 5 years. Nevertheless, the insertion process involves a minor incision in the upper arm, which may lead to wounds that require effective healing to avoid further complications (Paulina & Mahdalina, 2025). In light of this, the researcher seeks to examine "The Effect of Egg White on the Healing of Incision Wounds in Family Planning Implant Acceptors at the Nahdlatul Ulama Clinic."
Method; This research employed using a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design. In this setup, a control group was included but did not receive any treatment. The study population consisted of all KB Implant acceptors at the Nahdlatul Ulama Clinic, with a total sample of 30 individuals. Wound healing was evaluated using the PUSH scale instrument. Data analysis was conducted through both univariate and bivariate methods, utilizing the Mann-Whitney statistical test.
Result; The Mann-Whitney U statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.003, which is below the significance threshold of ? < 0.05. This result leads to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H?) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H?), indicating a statistically significant difference between the control and experimental groups. Therefore, the egg white intervention is proven to have a significant impact on the healing of incision wounds among KB Implant acceptors
Conclusion; he study findings indicated that egg white had an influence on the healing process of incision wounds among KB implant acceptors at the Nahdlatul Ulama Clinic.
